HP: 15
Opal Iridescence's special talent is the ability to shapeshift using his magic. He learns new forms by encountering new creatures to become. He will, however, always have his cutie mark. The following is a list of his forms:
1. His true form (???)- He only uses this one with his mother.
2. His preferred form (As seen under 'Equestrians')- His form used around town. It isn't exactly welcoming.
3. Pony (Earth Pony, Unicorn, or Pegasus)- A pony with the appearance of his choosing.
4.Changeling (Used when seeing a changeling) - After discovering his cutie mark, Opal purchased some books about shapeshifting and kept them with him at all times. Most of them were pet books and journals for writing discovered creatures in. One old book featured a creature called a changeling, which could also transform into anything it sees. It looks sort of like him, but too much like a fly. He sometimes uses changeling instead of his true form.
5. Manticor (His battle form)- Opal was attacked by a manticore at a young age, narrowly avoiding death by, in a sudden rush of magic, turning invisible, while also earning his cutie mark. Normal attack does d6 damage. Special Ability: Scorpion Sting, d4 damage, poisons the enemy for 5 turns, doing 1 damage each turn.
6. Zebra (Learned from meeting Sage)- A striped pony-like creature, from a faraway land.
7. Cockatrice (Learned during fight)- Half chicken, half snake creature whose eyes can turn a pony to stone. Normal attack does d4 damage. Special Ability: Paralyzes 1 minor enemy for 3 turns.
8. Timber Wolf - A wolf literally made of wood, its attack does d8 damage.
Opal is also capable of turning into any lesser animal (e.g. bunny, sheep) at his will. When anything other than a unicorn, his only magic available is shapeshifting. Opal also knows the following unicorn magic:
1. Telekinesis (All unicorns have this)- Can levitate objects using his horn.
2. Laser (Attack spell)- A piercing beam of light shot from the horn. d6
3. Minor Illusions (e.g. make a room dark, make a mirror image of somepony)- The ability to cast simple illusion spells used to trick people.
4. Improvise (Make up a spell, at the risk of getting it horribly wrong)- All unicorns can attempt to improvise spells, but is the risk worth it? If in battle, roll a d20, a 1 is a catastrophe, 2-7 is the opposite, 8-14 nothing happens, 15-19 it works, 20 it goes into overdrive.
